Well it’s been a busy few days here, and it’s still the silly season for weather. Saturday, we had snow again as well as bright sunshine inbetween, yesterday cold and wet, and today it got to about 20 deg I’m sure. It is such a balmy evening now.
We’ve just got home from a function connected to the Royal Hobart Show which starts tomorrow and runs to Saturday. Ted was there with his president’s hat on for the Hobart Vintage Machinery Society which has its usual very impressive display of vintage machinery, this year a special exhibit is a very rare 100 year old tractor, lots of other interesting engines and machines for the enthusiast and those curious about our past history.
This is the second linocut I made, and printed it on white silk.
Here is the first one I made printed on silk also.
And both have been stamped onto white silk scarves which I will overdye a bluey or purpley shade a bit lighter than the print.
This looks so much better with the bright blue scattered across , doesn’t it. I’ve made the blocks and trimmed them to size, so tomorrow they’ll get sewn together, and maybe get the first of the borders on.
This morning I spent some time fiddling with Publisher and Photoshop to produce some nice new business cards. The first one printed nicely, I’ll do more tomorrow and scan one back to show you here.
