Birthdays celebrations

I’ve had a great weekend, 2 days of celebrating my birthday.  I had thought that this one would pass almost unnoticed as I let it be known that I wouldn’t be home on the day – I planned to be on Bruny Island for the Bruny Easter Chopping Carnival and Market day.  My family thought otherwise.

After a lovely day on Bruny, despite the onset of winter, and meeting and chatting with lots of friends there

At Bruny Market

I arrived home in time for a great evening.  As it was Saturday, the children opted for their usual Saturday night of home-made pizza and watching movies

while the adults dined in peace.

Then today, we had an inside barbecue away from the weather followed by cutting the cake.

Tenth photo to get this one

It was the biggest Black Forest Gateau I’ve ever seen –

It's only a small slice

and even more chocolate to eat –
